SP - UI Encyclopedia s information enable/disable option suggestion

Users who are viewing this thread

Have a toggle on/of in the options where player can CHOSE how player should want to play the game
(how/in what way the information will be given to the player).

Make it so that player can enable/disable in option menu that deals with how its Encyclopedia would work/be when starting a game
-Encyclopedia being native (how it is now) and stay that way.
-Encyclopedia being so to say more realisticaly oriented.Encyclopedia would be MINIMALY FILLED.It would only have information about how the game works/tips/tricks BUT when it comes to known characters encyclopeda WILL ONLY HAVE INFORMATION about Kings/Leaders of the Kingdoms alongside their family members but will not have information about other lords/vassals/clans/mercenaries and their families.
-The way you would get that information would be thru encounters, quests, tournaments, feasts, going to persons/characters villages/castles/cities and talking to inn keeper and random villagers/townspeople/companions/other vassals.
That way as player interacts with NPCs in the word thru various ways from simple hearing rumors/having a chat with townfolk to doing quests for lords or settlement and getting the information that way Encyclopedia will then slowly overtime and each time you learn information about settlements owner and the notable NPC it will slowly fill in/update Encyclopedia and would start knowing notable NPCs of Calradia.

This toggle on/of option that gives player OPTION TO CHOSE AND NOT HAVING TIED HANDS can give so much feel of player control rather than being limited. Also this option would add more not only replayability BUT would ADD MORE IMMERSION ESPECIALY WHEN CREATING ROLEPLAYING gameplays or ROLEPLAYING VIDEOS Rycon Roleplay style of videos.Bcs now its like you are ALL KNOWING GOD of Calradia where you are even if lowborn from different kingdom you know about EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF YOUR BUT ALSO ALL OTHER KINGDOMS not only that but you also IMMEDIETLY KNOW INSTANTLY WHO DIED,WHO WAS BORN,WHO WAS MARRIED WITHOUT EVEN INTERACTING WITH THOSE NPCS ONCE.
This ENOURMESLY KILLS THE IMMERSION (i my opinion). Some people dont care about it BUT some DO.Thats why IM SUGGESTING that this Encyclopedia BE OPTIONAL AND TO GIVE PLAYERS A CHOICE IF THEY WANT FOR THEIR NEXT PLAYTHROU TO PLAY MORE IMMERSIVELY AND DO ROLEPLAYING wich also adds more to the REPLAYABILITY of the game bcs these types of things/systems/features BEING OPTIONAL even some small features CAN GIVE ALOT OF REPLAYABILITY AND CAN ADD ALOT OF GROUNDWORK SUPPORT FOR THE ROLEPLAYIG ASPECT and not being so RESTRICTIVE that makes roleplaying/immersion be more of a CHORE trying to fight with set in place system and trying to battle with it just so you can like do a more immersive roleplaying.

What im trying to say is that instead of going one way or another while removing the previous way i would like it to have an option to toggle what type of Encyclopedia i want to have eighter the current one or the more immersive one where you need to actualy go travel and extract information from around Calradia and as you learn about things/connections Encyclopedia slowly updates itself and adds the recently learnt information.More optional things the better the game is bcs it gives more ways to replay the same game atleast minimum 2/3 times.Yes this Encyclopedia wont have/bring that much replayability to the table BUT it would give atleast one time replayability when the player gets sick of usual way and want to go more towards immersion/rolelay path and having ALL THE INFORMATION about everyone given to player immedietly as soon as the game starts its quiet immersion/roleplay breaking but not only that but also by immedietly knowing all the peole, their families, their connections it makes j=you not explore/travel and try to learn the connetcins and instead juts stay in one place up until you need to like trade/go to war or just got bored and want to change the scenery.

You realise you can just not use the encyclopedia adding an entire option for something that is already optional for use seems counter-productive
