Sadly only way to die with enable death is to be executed or die in childbirth AFAIK.

Nope. They implemented about 10% of the game, slapped an EA sticker on it and put it up for sale. Can't blame them though, people gobbled it up because the basic gameplay is addictive enough and people were starved.

Sorry to resurrect this, but does death still not work? I saw a guy post a youtube of it working a while back. It's never happened to my character or companions even if they're listed as dead.

Correct, it's still not implemented.

Sometimes it shows red skull instead of blue in the log when you or your companion or enemy lord is "slain" but when the game goes to the map, you can see they're just wounded in your party.

I was slightly panicked, but excited when I saw it the first time. I'm weirdly looking forward to what promises to be a frustrating challenge.
