What Is This?
The ECLBO is named for what will be represented on the battlefield. Elite, meaning skill, discipline, maturity, and above all... A challenge. With those four things, we're able to host a relaxed style line battle using a mix of classical NA/EU rules. This event only allows line infantry and skirmishers. Because of that, this event will be a more classical event that is made up of more fire-fights and line techniques without getting ran over by cavalry, or getting blown up by artillery. This provides a great experience for every regiment that attends, and a chance to show their true skill as a whole.​

Event Days​

Every Monday @8:00pm EST​

Every Saturday @8:00pm EST​

Rules​

Line Infantry:​

Amount of men: 12 minimum/30 max.
Shoulder-to-shoulder spacing only.
Lines less than 6 people must fall back to a friendly line.
Do not crouch unless you're in double ranks.
Lines are allowed one sapper.
Do not fire out of formation
Lines are allowed to fire on the charge, but you must fire at least one volley in line before doing so.​

Skirmishers:​

Amount of men: 10 minimum/15 max.
Skirmishers are allowed to have a spread/loose formation
Skirmishers are allowed to crouch
Skirmishers are allowed one sapper
Skirmishers must move in a line while moving/marching
Cavalry muskets and rifles only! No musketoons.
Skirmishers less than 5 men must fall back and join a friendly line.​

Event Details/Requirements​

Leaders are required to tell their men the rules.
Leaders are required to join teamspeak 10 minutes before the event.
TeamSpeak 3 IP: 68.233.251.62
The battles will be played on large or medium random maps. (Depending on the attendance)
Each round will have a time limit of 16 minutes to prevent 40 minute rounds.
This event does not allow artillery, or cavalry. Only line infantry and skirmishers.

Thanks, and yes... I don't think a regiment enjoys their officers being sniped on purpose while leading.

Sounds rather good,though may I ask does the shoulder-shoulder spacing include Skirmishers too? Seems it would reduce the effectiveness of Riflemen a tad.

Was in a bit of a rush last night making all the rules and thread, I didn't put the details for the skirmishers. And skirmishers can behave as usual skirms. Spacing, crouching, etc...

No i think its a good rule your regiment just has to be quick on the move doing skirmisher formation.

But when retreating i think thats when the rule is affecting the skirmishers a lot.
