Elephant DLC?

I don't know if elephants would be any good in this game. With how wonky the damage is, a larger target is just a shorter lifespan.

Unless they give the mount the same amount of health as siege equipment. Also attacking from the elephant will be a nightmare.

If there is actually a acquirable unit that uses this then that would be awesome.

I mean c'mon mate. Seriously, for example if i wanted play a game on map during ww2 caring about cosmetics more, then i would play some cheap mobile game instead of learning complexities of HOI4. But i prefer the depth and complexity of HOI4.

HOI4 is not a great example. It's the shallowest, most idle, and least dynamic paradox game by a country mile, and that's saying a lot. The fact that they were selling cosmetic long before the USSR or China had a functioning focus tree (and while the game is still rife with bugs) makes it worse than bannerlord in this regard. To this day the base game is virtually unplayable without mods, while bannerlord is just boring without mods.

I feel like elephants are going to be important for big total conversion mods like Kingdoms of Arda and since it's going to use the DLC assets, we'r going to need to buy the DLC to be able to play those mods. I don't think it's bad in the grand scheme of things. What's wrong with devs making money off their work while supporting the great mods?

Many feel TW has already been paid for work not yet completed. But just having dlc doesnt mean itll be paid.

If, in 2-3 years, a new faction was released with elephants and unique culture and architecture set people would gladly pay for it once base game has significantly improved.

Elephant may only be DLC because it unbalances / modifies the game enough to make it optional by default.

Might also have been an accident. Maybe someones hobby project slipped in and was quickly removed?

I doubt it's just going to be an elephant item. Someone put a code snippet early in the threads that imply the elephants can attack. They will probably also add elephant troops along with it. If these are true, I won't mind paying a few dollars for it.

If it's just an elephant item like people suspect, I'll just ignore it like I do with most DLCs. Big deal.

Even thinking about pulling out some DLC when the game is in EA is such a disgusting move, especially since they're months away from having Bannerlord in an even remotely decent state, that they should genuinely feel ashamed. You should also feel ashamed: you're the reason consumers are treated like they're *all* moron and have no common sense.

While some people are already begging for cosmetic DLCs, Its important (especially in the Forums) to let TW know that not all of us are OK with it, otherwise you will get messeges like "requested by our community".

I suspect they would say it was requested by the community even if a single person had said: "Maybe I could buy DLC if I was a millionaire and Bannerlord was the best game ever."

HoI4 was a huge disappointment for me. HoI3 with Black Ice is 100 times better, and it shows just how much they're dumbing everything down these days.

You could just make an Elephant mod with custom saddles and release it for free on the nexus mod website, problem solved.

hello, I also created a fighting elephant with 2 types of armor, I used the skeleton of a horse but I did WP to make the elephant move like an elephant, the difference between a horse and an elephant is that the elephant has only 2 bones in the back than a horse 3. if it was I can select the interest of the elephant as a separate mod.
