Summary: At some point your ruler clan won't give you anymore settlements. You won't be electable or barely electable. You won't get it even if you get majority support if you do some how end up electable.
How to Reproduce
: Always
Quest/Settlement Name (if related): Quest to form empire. If you're unlucky you won't have recieved a main imperial city/town. So you won't ever get one and won't ever be able to form your empire. This relates to the kingdom vs renown balance issues where you'll be put to death when your faction becomes too strong.
Media (Screenshots & Video): Can't be provided.
Version: 1.0.3
Computer Specs
:N/a Balancing not performance.

Summary: Fief election seems to be rigged. I have 1 Town(Omor) and 1 castle(Jogurys castle). After capturing a castle(Mazhadan Castle) as part of an army the following election will always have the same result.(regardless of influence spent).
How to Reproduce:
Media: (video showing 3 elections after reload. I have done this over 20 times at 100 influence spent and 10 times at 50 influence spent all with the same result)
Version 1.0.6
I'm not sure if this was intended but to me it seems like a bug.
Thanks for your time and keep up the good work with the game!
(Edit: forgot to mention that this has only happens with this castle and not with 3 others i have captured since)

Maybe you're not supposed to own the entire kingdom? You already have a town and a castle, there are probably vassals without land or with less lands than you, that might be why they get it. Also owning a town makes you pretty powerfull, and of course elections are rigged, the king decides.

Works both ways, I got awarded a castle I didn't wanted and couldn't change the outcome by save scumming. The only problem there is with this is that if you take a settlement alone, you're not even guaranteed to be electable, there should be a blood priority as in Warband
