Editing out units?

I'm  wanting to get rid of the Black Khergit Horsemen. Nothing in the Sarranid area survives and it's unbalancing the game by destroying Sarranid Lords. I don't know why these guys are so over powered in auto calc battles.

Any way to do this?
 
I want to do the exact same thing. I can easily destroy a 600 + Mountain Bandit army, but in the desert it's impossile because of the Black Khergit Horsemen. I downloaded above editor, but have no idea how it works. Can someone provide a more detailed answer?

 
Configure it. Choose what you want to edit(probably party templates). Entries pt_whatever are native, pt_whatever_r are reworked, pt_whatever_e are expanded. According to version, edit the party template. Or you can edit those units.

The problem is that in me party template the entry pt_desert_bandits_e only shows Desert Bandits with members ranging from 8 to 53. No BKH in there. I could take a screenshot.

What I did now is just copied the numbers in the troops.txt that where under Desert Bandit and pasted them over the numbers under BKH. I'll capture one of each and see if they have the same stats - if not I'll need to think of something else.
 
Btw,

Is it also possible to just delete the troop trp_bandit_e_black_khergit_horseman or will that mess up the game? Seeing as the my own .txt edit didn't work I'm just editing their stats with the Morgh editor to be the same as that of regular Desert Bandits.

DON´T delete any entry. That will completely mess up troop trees. Your best bet is to nerf the Black Khergits (lower their proficiencies and skills) although I´m afraid doing that will require you to start a new game. You can also change their gear to something weaker, that WON´T require you to start anew.
 
BTW, you have to click "update troop" or it won't work. You have to click it every time you switch to another troop.

And NO, don't delete anything. Never.
 
What are black khergits supposed to be?
First time I found them I didn't know what the heck were some random khergit knights doing in the desert.
They also have some strong armour.

Everything works fine. I even copied the Face Codes, so the BKH look like the Desert Bandits. They are now exact replica's of the DB in terms of skills and items. Only BKH still give me 180 experience, while DB give me +- 150 (I think).

Is this due to the fact that skills (riding, throwing, etc.) aren't savegame sensitive?

EDIT: Just read Articulo's post. That answered my question. With weaker equipment the BKH are much easier to kill, so that's good enough for my savegame. Seeing armies of 140 BKH with 400 prisoners just didn't make any sense to me. Especially when Jabbar the Bandit has 10 armies with at least 40 BKH per army following him. Why are they still in the game? The other regions don't seem to have to same insanely strong bandits.
 
I tried a shortcut and it went badly. Has anyone got an original entry for trp_bandit_e_black_khergit_horseman from the troops.txt file?

It is a sort of mini-mod, but bandits should be original.

Is that your modified Black Khergit Horsemen?

And do they have stats and equipment, or just equipment modified?
 
Yes, Items, Stats and proficieny are the same as regular Desert Bandits.
However, like Articulo pointed out only the Items are save game compatible. But with weaker equipment the BKH aren't so tough anymore, so for me this is fine. I didn't feel like starting a new game since I'm already 500+ days ingame.
