Editing Companion Strings

Sorry if this is the wrong section or has been answered, I am new and searched but came up with nothing.

I was editing a companion string since I don't understand how to make a new one and just changed an existing one to follow a long running RPG I always run. I edited the strings to give him different dialogue, I edited up to the first hiring text and saved to check if they were working thus far (I kept all the dialogue from the original character that I hadn't edited yet so he would still have something to say). The text was fine up until the second backstory page, then it just started to say the beginning of the string (str_name_backstory_b) and everything after that followed suit. Is there something I did wrong? Please help as it would really make my game feel more unique.

Hard to tell what went wrong without seeing your module_strings file.

As for your current problem, it is likely a minor mistake that happens all the time. Forgot a quotation mark, comma, or paren. I would suggest the most likely place is right around where you see the errors starting. If you cannot find it restore it and try again.
