Editing companion stats?

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if there is any way to edit your companion's stats.
The reason I ask this is because I quite heavily messed up some of my companion's stats, and due to lack of an in-game respec function I would like to know if there's another way to change them.

Any help is appreciated!

I'm not sure will it work properly, but you can edit stats of troops(that companions are also) in Morgh's Editor. But the changes will be in new campaign iirc, and if I understand what you're writing, you need it in your current campaign... so it won't help anyway

The only way I know of is exporting companions, editing their stats in the respective txt-files then reimporting them. The problem with that is, that PoP does not offer a genuine export-companions-option, so you will have to meddle with the occult. If you still want to do it, search the "Quick questions//quick answers"-thread for the keyword "brytenwalda" and have a look at the 13th finding. (Seems very appropriate that this occult matter redirects to number 13 )

Could you be more specific about the thread?
I searched all 203 pages with 'Ctrl-F: brytenwalda' but did not find anything.
Also, what does 'meddling with the occult' mean?

Also, with Ctrl-F you can only search per page (afaik). Is there any way to do this more efficiently?

Click on the specified topic, then use the forum search in the upper right corner of the page with option "This topic".

Meddling with the occult means changing game-files without using something like Morgh's editor. If you do it wrong, it will corrupt your game and you'll have to reinstall it.

Thanks for the help, hopefully I can successfully utilise this. ^^

Also, maybe the devs could implement this into the game?

You really cant implement a tool into a game. Its used to modify the games files, not be done inside the game itself.

I understand that, but I mean incorporate the menu option into the game, I figured this out in brytenwalda by myself after seeing the menu. It makes it less 'scary' for people who don't like to search for and meddle with files.
