Edit Mode issue

I have trying to place a new town in my mod,but when in edit mode I hit Ctrl+e to obtain the coordinates but any kind of thing happen, as should be. What I do? Sorry, my english isn't the best

I suggest using this program> http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,183658.0.html#post_main_cartographer_page
and its much easier to obtain cords
