Edit mode is great, don't get me wrong, but it could be a lot better without too much work, methinks, especially in terms of scene editing. Some of the most needed additions (in my opinion) are:
- Undo button. When you raise up some ground too quickly, accidentally paint a few extra triangles a certain ground texture, an undo button would be very useful, though not entirely necessary.
- Copy ability. I arrange some scene props to my liking, then I would love to be able to select them all, copy 'em, and paste the exact same formation of scene props. (Obviously they can all be rotated.)
- Outliners. Just a thin blue (you can see blue easy) circle that shows exactly what radius my ground texture/elevator is at, so I know exactly how much I'm painting/raising/lowering/smoothing.
- Scale slider. Randomizing the scale can be useful for stuff, but a slider that can set it to be half the size to twice the size would be lovely.
- Randomization preview. It's not that big a deal, but with the randomize scale/rotation it'd be nice to see how different the scale/rotation will be before you place the object.
There are a ton more useful things that could be added, so if any of you come up with some, just post 'em.
