Economic Warfare

Recruit
In a war with an AI kingdom versus the player faction, how does the AIs war economy work and is it possible to win against larger kingdoms by focussing on damaging their economy?

For example when defeating enemy lords you can keep them out of the field by killing their troops - but if you raid their villages and steal their castles does it make it more difficult for them to train new troops or mean that they will be able to field less troops in future?

From what I understand the AI, like you, can't recruit troops from looted villages so theoretically if you looted enough villages and killed off enough armies they wouldn't be able to recruit new ones and they'd be more willing to surrender.

Only poblem is, they grow their army from inside their castles and towns.  Just find a lord with a low army count and watch his army grow as time passes.  I don't think the villages have anything to do with them gaining recruits.

There is no economic warfare in the game. Neither the enemy not your allies really depend on the villages and on the income. So looting villages is for fun and for money but nothing more.

So the only way to reduce the enemy armies in the field is to kill them and if possible hold the lords prisoner so they cannot raise new armies?

Is the replenishment linked to the size of the settlement?  For example if you herded all of the enemy lords into one castle would they all replenish at a slower rate as the castles troop creation rate is shared between them all?

Literally is the power of an enemy nations armed forces solely linked to the number of nobles they have?

You can also recruit the lords away from your enemy.  If you recruit lords who hold castles or cities they bring those with them.

Somewhere on forum I saw something about prosperity of fiefs relating to speed whit which lords soldiers upgrade. If it is true than you can not reduce number of enemy troops by raiding but you can influence their quality.

have to be verified however, I am not sure if it is realy true.
