Ebony Gauntlet and Eventide

I always wondered, what's the point of joining them if we are supposed to be a good hero that needs to ally with the knife ears? I don't understand, we all know the Eventide are just the knighthood version and more organized heretics who secretely sacrifice people, while the others just hate noldor.

Because even though the mod team has imposed a set of victory conditions, Warband itself was meant to be a sandbox, and there is meant to be nothing preventing you from following your own goals instead of the mod's.  If victory for you is wiping out the Noldor with their help and allying with the Heretics and the Snake cult, there is nothing to stop you from doing so.  The victory conditions are there to give you a set of objectives for a "good/light" playthrough which most people want to go for, at least for their first time through.

Arguably the Knights of the Dawn are more "evil" than the Eventide. Seeing as they run around slaughtering common folk for the fun of it, The Eventide evilness at least has a point, and demons are just misunderstood.

Misundestoond? Demons are just the typical demons, they want to take your heart and eat it, "moar blood UAAAAAAAARG" doesn't say anything?
Dawn are likely the misunderstoond, since they served a goddess of justice, they just became zealots.

The only thing suspicious is that heretics do not fight Eventides. They somehow connected but Eventides do nothing wrong in the game right now. Noldors are attacking everything. I'd say we don't have much information at all to judge.

Ehm... no one did? Anyway they like to play victims but for no reason they hate you and attack you with statements that are obviously heretical in nature.

Yes, they yell how your sacrifice is gonna be good for their demon goddess.

Because Dawns are just zealots, think of the Scarlet Crusade from World of Warcraft.

Ebonies only attack noldors.

Start the game and look at knighthood orders relations. And other relations too.

Another reason the ebony gauntlet is not viewed well is that the silvermist order, which is diametrically opposed, was rather popular in the community for a while.

As for the Eventide order, the dialogue for Sir Alastair, the companion representative for the Eventides, talks about abusing his lordship and torturing commoners for entertainment.  While he doesn't talk about being a heretic, he is a mustache-twirling villian type, and gets along with a Snake Cult Priestess of all people.

Yep. He's the only info source about how weird or twisted Eventide knight can be but he's the only one man. On the other hand in fief events Eventide order is very reasonable - despise injustice and do not reprove true heretics executions. And all that Eventide patrols do is hunting down bandits.

Actually Sir Jocelyn left the order because he couldn't stomach it.  I just can't remember exactly what he says about it, but I do remember sending him to get info has him reply that he will seek out Eventide contacts in D'Shar territory, so I don't know what to think of him.
