Easy to implement(?) suggestions for modability

Forgive me if these have been suggested before, but these are things that we'd really like to have for the M&B Onin no Ran total conversion, and I think may be easy to implement for modding purposes:

Ability to having armor ratings for each location on any type of armor item. For instance, adding head rating to a body armor item (in addition to the already optional legs, which is why I'm assuming this might be easy to implement)

Ability to change the names and values of, and add additional, item modifiers.

Ability to modify or add new merchant types.

This one might not be so easy, but; an additional value for items that controls how frequently it would appear at a merchant, a rarity value.

Ability to force a NPC or troop type to drop an item when defeated in battle.

Ability to have more than 2 upgrade options for troops (not imperitive, but would be nice.)

If any of these are already possible, please inform me, I'm basing them on Effidian's unofficial editor. Thanks!

Yes, this is already possible.

You can change the names easily enough. The values are currently hardcoded into the game. I'll think about making them modifiable.

Ability to modify or add new merchant types.
Sure. I'm planning to add this one as well.

Currently, the more expensive items appear less frequently. Adding a rarity parameter is a good idea. I'll think about it.

Defeated heroes drop any unique items they are equipped with. Perhaps that would work for you...

Ability to have more than 2 upgrade options for troops (not imperitive, but would be nice.)
Sorry. This doesn't look imperative to me either.

Thanks for your suggestions!
