Also, do you know if Jatu never respawn once they're wiped out? I didn't encounter any of their parties while traversing steppes for months and they're marked as "Destroyed". That is so sad, my RoCC need moving target practice!

With Destroyed they still respawn but veeeery slow, with Obliterated they completely stop to regenerate. But damned snakes and heretics can easily reanimate themself even after obliteration.
My SR also prayed for some new Jatu on fancy horsies to shoot and smash, but after obliteration remaining armies were wiped out by Ravs and no new Jatu for next 1000+ days=\
