I think EA will have a rather complete MP experience, albeit without private servers and polished/extensive map variety, and a fleshed out but feature incomplete SP. Much more offerings than a demo but not complete in the eyes of TaleWorlds. I’m just happy they want to get the game in players hands.

Quite possibly in the future, but for now, if you are interested in playing, you should go to beta.taleworlds.com and fill out the application form.

It said that entering the CD key was optional, so I didn't do it. After putting in my application, I've heard that we'll have a better chance of getting a beta key if we enter a CD key. If that's true, is it alright if I resubmit my application?

I would also like to know this.

When they say it won't be feature complete, I understand that to mean that there is more to come, yet the features we've seen are already in, maybe subject to balancing.

Like naval combat, huh? Or will that be part of a DLC to be released in 2025?

I'm so sure if they don't have it at "launch", the modding community will add naval combat within a year.

at first i was sceptical about EA. Then i was happy. now, after what Callum said, im worried again! Stop playing with my EMOTIONS!!!
The big issue i see with what Callum said is the "long road to go after that"... cause it might mean that we wont get FL (Full Release) for year or two..... i thought... well hoped that EA means that FL will be within one year.

He could also mean full release, DLC's and future updates

I am incredibly mad at TaleWorlds for giving us an EA Version. For me personally, the long waiting time was only justifyable because they said they want the game to be really good and polished. And after nearly a decade of waiting for this game, they are just gonna throw us a bone with an EA version instead of releasing a polished and finished game. I honestly feel cheated and disrespected by the devs. I would not mind waiting another year or even two if they give us the whole game then, instead of releasing it bit by bit. As someone said already, it just takes away the sensation of playing this masterpiece of a game finally after so long. You could still patch the game and add new features after full release. And also, if you go in EA why not do it now? If your goal is to develope the game together with the community, you better start sooner than later. I really can't understand why they chose to go with this mental way of releasing their game, but I am very disappointed. And I would not have thought that Bannerlord, the very game that hyped me up like no other game could with every piece of information dropped, could ever disappoint me...

So then don't buy it. Wait until it's released. If you do this, it's like you're waiting the same amount of time if they hadn't decided to put it in EA, anyway.

This is a good thing. If they released the game at version 1.0 without player testing, it would have horrible bugs. It will probably even have some bugs at 1.0 despite the EA testing, but it's better than without. This way, when you finally do try it out, it'll be much more polished.

Sorry but that is just rubish. No one said the game shouldn't be playtested. Don't know why you made that one up. Every game has playtesting in form of Alpha and Beta tests. It has nothing to do with EA if a game is buggy in 1.0 or not. Otherwise every game that is released properly would be buggy in 1.0, which obviously is not the case. Also it is not not the same as if they released a full game at launch. With the devs already getting paid for an unfinished game and the hype being sated, development will most likely be slower than without EA. Just take a look at most EA titles and how long it took them to get to full release. As I already said, a game doesn't have to be perfect at launch. You can still patch it later. It should how ever include all features at least. Especially after  7 years.

Hello

Could I have a code to test any beta/alpha now pretty please?

Yeah, it should, but the ****ty reality is that it doesn't. There's been some form of mismanagement during the development that caused it to take way longer than it should have.
That's all in the past now though. The reality is that the game is currently far from feature complete, and even the early access version won't be version complete. I'd take that over waiting another 2 years for a full release though.

I dream with the day that Armagan, as he lays his head on his pillow, gets the heart touched by an  angel, and kindness fills up all his being. Then he has a marvelous dream and wakes up, happy, but without any particular reason. He eats his breakfast, slowly as the morning rises... Then, arriving at TW, the chest full of joy, he announces: let's release a demo for those poor boys...

So I guess after about 7 years of <snip> development the reality struck and TW ran out of money. So why not quickly build a multiplayer part, get some money and continue <snip> for ten more years? What a brilliant idea!

@NPC99 - It is highly likely that we will release the modding tools alongside the full release and not before.

@SenorZorros - In this instance we would actually encourage you to hold on to your money until you feel the game is ready for you to enjoy. The game has a lot of content, there is no doubt about that, but if you want a complete experience you should wait until launch.

@Vairly -The game will not be feature complete during EA. You should definitely wait until full release if you want to play the game in its entirety with everything it has to offer.
Haha ! I guess that most of people here are more like "Shut up and take my money" as soon as possible !

Can we start making scenes with the Early Access build ? I suppose the scene editor will be a part of the game like in Warband ? :ohdear:

I find it weird to announce early access in 7 months, but they had to annouce something for Gamescom, that means that the game is far from ready, in the other case they would have announce EA 3 months before and not more.
