Resolved [e1.8.0] Exposure at max in certain locations

Modded/unmodded
No, I didn't use any mods.
Summary: Ever since I updated to 1.8.0, when I move from world map to certain scenarios (not all) at certain times/weather conditions, the exposure gets so bright I cannot see. Even setting exposure and brightness at minimum in my settings doesn't solve the issue. I also tried tweaking different advanced graphic settings Only going to photomode and reducing the exposure there kind of solves it, but obviously, I can't play in photomode.
How to Reproduce: Not sure yet how to reproduce it every time. Enter a location (city, town, arena, battleground) during daytime. It could be related to the weather too, maybe when there's fog?
Have you used cheats and if so which: No
Scene Name (if related): It happens on multiple locations, I think it depends more on the time of day or weather.

Do you use any external graphic setting change apps? Could you send us your engine_config.txt file located in Configs folder in Bannerlord's Documents folder?

I have this same exact problem. Seems to happen around late-afternoon. Happened to me in the plains above jalmarys in summer most recently. The morning fog can be a bit overly bright with winter/snow terrains as well, so it seems probable that the fog's having an impact but obviously we can't see if there's any fog... or anything at all for that matter

Same here. Settings and mods don't seem to matter, only time of day. Intel i5-11600K on RTX 3060
(also, had the governorchange exception crash since day one on 1.8.0, using a mod to play further. And strange icons when viewing modded armor)

It is in MArdA signature links. Quoting directly from it:

Clean Install
The clean install is removing every single game-related file from your computer and installing the game again. Without a reinstall, we can't be sure those files are unchanged.
To perform a Clean Install, Uninstall the game. You can do that by right-clicking the game on Steam Library and selecting Delete Local Content. Delete all folders related to the game that remains after the uninstallation.
The folders that might have files inside:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord
C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord
C:\ProgramData\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord
Note: You'll need to allow Windows to display hidden folders and files to see the ProgramData folder and its contents.

There is a \Shaders folder in the C:\ProgramData\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\ that should be the problem (didn't do it bit by bit, so I don't know for sure, but must be) and solve it after it's deleted. The saves are in the C:\Users\YOURUSER\Documents\Mount and... folder, so it shouldn't be affected if you delete only the C:\ProgramData\..., but anyway, when I went there, I didn't delete any saves (only mod config files that weren't in use anymore), so I think you won't need to delete them.

This is fantastic. Thanks for all of the great information. Now that I know where the user save data is, I'll be sure to make a copy before I go and delete stuff. Thanks for that.

Are you saying I can just delete the shaders folder and it can work?
