[e1.0.6] A few things I would like to see changed after 65 hours of play

After 65 hours I have a few ideas for changes that I think would help the game. Not new content but how things work in the game already.

1. Wars - As it stands right now wars last forever. It feels as though there are never any peaceful moments every time a war ends your faction just starts another. Shorter wars would allow more building up and fief management which is also a very enjoyable part of the game.

2. Cavaly is unbalanced - In auto resolve cav is favours very heavily while in actual battle they aren't as effective. This auto resolve makes vlandia and the kuzaits op in simulation battles that along with their powerful start positions.

3. Influence - negative influence is and feels terrible. Your own kingdom can screw you over with their policies. Having modifiers take influence is fine but maybe have those only affect you when you are above 50 influence. That way you can vote on one thing before you have to build it up again.

I came here with the same issues.
Also, you guys could do a great improvement in interfaces from buying things and parleys.
And we should have some way to see a list of NPCs sorting by your relationship.

Last patch seems to have introduced some bugs in the trading interface, namely at times the coloring for goods that have high/low prices doesn't show up and other times everything is green (I am noticing that in Khuzait territory as we speak). I personally wish there was an option to disable the coloring at least, I find it distracting and not very useful (even if it worked properly, I would rather do without).

Yeah there are at least 2 policies that give the player -2 influence per day when starting out. At the very least the player should be immune to this for up to 50 or 100 influence, otherwise it gets very difficult to progress.

Totally agree, there is not a single moment to rest, gather troops or go to your castle.
I think that, in order to fix this, the AI should be seriously modified both in the campain map and during a battle/siege. They are agresive and stupid as it is right now. They raid every village and siege every town constantly with +600 armies and then, during most sieges they get stucked on the walls and do nothing during battle.

This is not the case for Aserai, I assure you. After I joined the souther empire took two cities and then we have been at peace with everyone (except a few minor factions) for a long time. It's actually kinda boring. The minor factions are just ~40 mounted archer type troops and theyre rare but powerful.

For most other factions, yeah theres a lot of war.

I agree somewhat. I started a war without knowing it takes influence, and ended up with -300, also losing 1 per day due to some policy. That was a hole I could never recover from, so thats very bad. At least warn players if they will lose a ton like that. On the other hand, it would be like you get to start wars and crap for free if you are already at 0 influence.

So yeah, maybe have policies subtracting influence only take effect when above a certain threshold, but negative influence is kinda necessary.

This to me actually looks like a problem coming from a poorly designed map. There's only like two entry points from Aserai lands to the rest of Calradia. Bad design decision imo, because they miss all the action that the other factions have, even compared to the northerners of Sturgia.

Occasional peace would be nice. In my current campaign, my faction is at war with everyone and has been for awhile. It's crippling. As soon as I make any sort of progress, some massive army shows up and starts eating territory. It's like a big game of musical chairs. It's not worth spending influence to get myself a fief because I know some massive doom stack will be along in a bit to take it.

I think it was done on purpose because they're so spread out. It they could be attacked anywhere easily they would never be able to defend. Even now with only two entry points they struggle. Something needs to change
