It happens both on arrow baskets, rocks and the oil bomb things. If you press F to start picking it up and start looking towards the direction you want to start moving, it will bug out and not pick it up. You have to do it again for it to work or stare at the pile until you've picked up the stone. I'm guessing it has something to do with networking and synchronization, which is why I've posted it here.
