MP Third person crosshair/view issues & arrow drop

Users who are viewing this thread

There's several issues with this crosshair/view, mainly that it removes proper projectile drop on archers and makes it easier to aim by lowering the need to learn proper arrow drops, it also interferes with mounting horses and shooting from heights.

While looking at the saddle, you do not get the option to mount the horse, and many players, especially new, get confused by this, thinking it's some sort of bug. You oftentimes have to look at the stomach of the horse while in third person to properly mount the horse.

While above someone and aiming at their heads in third person, you will overshoot and shoot above their heads (mainly a problem in siege for defenders, as they to shoot at a very abrupt angle), because the crosshair is misaligned when it comes to the path of the projectile. It needs to be closer to the first person one.

Agreed on the crosshair. The 1st and 3rd person view positions should be normalized, because right now you need to aim in different spots for each. Frustrating when you get used to one and need to switch to the other for a better view.

You can easily see the difference by picking an object, centering on it, and switching between views. In first person your crosshair will be slightly higher.
