Resolved [e.1.0.0/e.1.0.1] Quest: Train troops for Dasys of Atphynia

For some reason this quest stopped tracking the progress of my borrowed troops that were being trained. I closed the game with two troops trained to veteran status.

I continued playing the game and I lost one soldier during a battle and was only able to get eight troops to veteran status before I attempted to turn in the quest but the quest giver wouldn't give me the option to turn in the eight soldiers I trained, and when I checked my quest status before attempting to turn in I noticed it still said that I had only trained two troops. Once I tried loading my save back up I remember seeing something about loading up a save for an old module could this be the reason why my game stopped tracking the progress with this quest?

Has anyone else encountered this bug? Is this just one of those situations where I would need to start all over again from a fresh save because of an update? Any feedback would be appreciated.
