64 - Melee/Infantry. 39%
81 - Ranged/Archers. 49%
19 - Companions/Unnamed1. 12%
Total = 145 + 19 = 164 + Me.

So heres the odd thing... I go to combat with some enemy and I have very small amount of ''ranged'' on the battlefield e.g. I went to fight a orc patrul (around 24) just now to verify It wasn't my imagination and I counted the amount of ranged on the battlefield to 13-14 while the rest were melee and companions even though my ranged is the largest group in the party?  :???:

... ranged troops are lower in your list I suppose ? The higher a unit is, the higher the chances it appears on the battlefield. That's why you put your medics (I mean int-based companions specialised in surgery, etc) at the lowest, and whatever you want to always have with you upfront (usually all the other companions to begin with). In Native I'd usually put all my cavalry first and archers behind, and I'd swap them during sieges or in situations where archers were more important.

I never notice these things because of battle size changer; Instead my party group list is setup to be organized by troop tree ranks.

I struggle enough with 150 Battle size honestly, sometimes I have to restart Warband after two-three hours because it starts struggling during battles. (same whether in Native or any mod) And my computer isn't even supposed to be ****ty. :sad: Besides honestly, sieges are already huge cluster****s with 150, I don't even want to see what happens if you have both armies in their entirety.

Imagine a bowl so full water pours out.

Then replace the water with troops.

The humanity...

I can honestly say I've had some crazy battles where even with battle size changer there were still multiple reinforcement waves. It's a whole lot of fun, and the reason I love it and use it - It makes sure you need to ready going up against large groups. You can't just take on some of the enemies at a time and win because of that. Sieges are a whole lot of fun, but even harder to get the foot in the door so to speak, but when you do it's very rewarding.

My computer does cringe at about 650~ so I've toned it down to 400ish until late game when groups that large start clashing.

It would be really nice if we could properly adjust the battlesize ingame specifically.

Such as a empty box you can just put the number you want.

This slider that only goes up to 150, we have to constantly restart to game to get bigger battles when we want them or tone them down (particularly during sieges where pretty much all the problems occur).

So this battlesize thing I've heard it before can I apply it in phantasy?

It applies to everything. It uses the in game counter and just sets it up to a large value between 1-1000.
