Knight at Arms
I'm thinking of getting it, there's not much indication to What it is, but it's got some fantastic reviews.
What's it like...

I get that too, it's a limited edition one, I also get the soundtrack and artbook...
TLJ looks to be a P&C while this is adventure...

I have only played TLJ, but from what I've heard, it sucks. It's darker and "grittier" than TLJ, but also not as good a story. The graphics aren't that awesome and the controls not very good, especially in the fighting minigames. Overall, my friends who liked TLJ a lot played it only to learn more about the world and story.

Dreamfall was.... eh......... wonky. I mean, the story is topnotch, but the mechanics are wonky at times and the fighting is a pain. However! If you played the original then you have to pick up Dreamfall because the dev's for this series are making a third installment!

Don't let the mechanics drive you away, the story is worth it. In my opinion, at least.

Oh yeah, dreamfall

Played it when it was released and completed it. It's a really good and interesting story.
And that's the only reason to play this game. It's like a film where you get to choose
a little. Sadly I think you can complete the game in 6-8 hours.
The fighting scenes are ridiculous, but few and easy, so don't bother with them.
The riddles are easy, although I had to use a walkthrough one time (for something I would never have figured out).

The graphics are quite good without being astonishing. And all the scenes are immersing and beautiful.

A really good and original story, but short and easy.

Dreamfall's a great game. It's more like a..ummm...slightly interactive fantasy story (emphasis on slightly) though, whereas TLJ was more of a proper classic adventure game. Still, the story is great and while the graphics aren't Crysis level good or anything, it does have a lot of beautifully crafted environments.
And the fighting bits were pretty damn easy really, same for the sneaking stuff.

Only issue I got with the game is that it leaves so damn many questions still unanswered, and who knows when Dreamfall: Chapters (sequel to Dreamfall, episodic in nature) might get released now that Funcom is prolly busy for a while with that ****ty wossname MMORPG.
