Devoured are demonic magnus...foot troops

Edit: yes, the lords will get prisoners if they were in the fight...they will also get the troops you release fom your army...good way to give troops to militia

What? I was having Pendor Men at Arms easily standing toe to toe with Devoured troops and Dread Legion Infantry.
It's those damn Anaconda Knights that give me trouble of course I haven't seen a Dread Legion without at least 350 of them. Obviously his Dread Legion Army has taken some heavy casualties at this point without significant rewards.

Unit strength depends. Are you playing on max difficulty?
Yeah I agree, they must have taken casualties, but there's still 700 of them

Just destroyed a 1000 strong peasant revolt all by myself. Well, not by myself, but with my  150 strong company. It was the most fun I had in Warband for quite some time. Killed over 150 of them personally, and earned the "50+ kills in one battle" achievement.

one time....at jatu camp...this guy helped me out i didnt have space for all 800 prisoners and he took em all, and what do you know, he has over 1000 army, his name was count alexis. they steamrolled after that i might tell you. hehe.

Once I took down a snake army with ~70 shadow legion centurions (not upgraded). I think they had about 700-800 guys. The trick is to pack a shield (yes just a shield) and an accurate bow with 2 nordor quivers, and have 350+ archery (also a heavy horse could help... a lot). I just charged into the other side of the map, which was basically a flat surface, and lured all the snake priestessssesssss and other horsemen to myself, raining hell as I ran in a steady pace. then I charged my centurions, which wiped up the armsmen. I kept circling around the map on my horse, shooting all the snakeheads while I was at it. I must have killed like 50+ cobras per battle for the first 3 waves (they don't carry shields, ever).

The one and only true and entertaining way to take down SNC Priestesses is choping them apart with a great big sword. Same goes for the Anaconda Knights and Cobra Warriors - either headpike them into Oblivion or Jump-Head-Swing or Jump-Head-Thrust them with your great big sword.

Far more fun than riding circles and popping arrows.

I also carry a bastard sword for fun. In easy battles, I swap and jump down to hack down some guys. My archery is ~450 and 2H is 300 which pretty much sums up my playstyle

Screw the Bastard Sword. Get a decent 2h weapon, like a 2h Morning Star, the Veteran Polehammer or a Pendor Great Sword.

by the way... try taking on peasant revolt with only companions with disabled routing, it gets... bloody.
