Since the tournament is drawing to a close, we decided to watch at old stuff and to compile our match history. I hope you like it.

Check OP for match history, it's hidden in spoilers to not bloat the OP.

Fixed something that went wrong with the formatting that I was so kindly provided with, everything should be fine now.

NW players are at a supreme advantage when playing Bannerlord because they have had years to adapt to a restrictive class system and boring combat.

I wonder where does the "boring' part come from. How come Bannerlord dynamic fighting with at least 2 teamfights happening during one round, faster combat and 3 flags is boring compared to Warband competetive matches which had to reduce round time cuz it was ****fest of waiting for flags 90% of time?

FASTER COMBAT. LOL

We had to go from Fastest to Medium in WPL1 because the combat was too fast.

The flag timer for Warband was identical to the flag timer for Bannerlord for well over 60% of warbands lifetime. Actually it may have been faster. On many Warband maps you could hardly run from your spawn to any of the flags before the flag timer popped. River Village is prime example.

Bannerlord combat is tuned to be boring. Shields have immaculate health, as well as immaculate coverage in melee. Block delay removes potential for exciting clutches. Crackshot archers have been neutered by a horrendous cone of fire and a simplification of aiming. Movement speed makes fights sluggish and swing delay removes aggressiveness. Javelins are so mandatory and easy to use that for infantry it is often beneficial to be in melee as infrequently as possible. You say two simultaneous teamfights are a big deal as if split pushes were not a thing in warband. Split pushing was even better in warband because you had more bodies to send in different directions. 8v8 will always give a team more movement and composition options than 6v6.

I think he meant that combat ends faster because everyone use a weapon that one hits and a broken mechanic that can hardly be countered, which is the definition of boring.

Gave OP a very brief update now that BEAST goes into round two.
We're again sending out two teams, now instead of DR 1 and DR 2 they have the joyful names
Furor Teutonicus (Div A) and Acedia Teutonicus (Div C).

Best of luck to our competitors and to a great tournament!

Greetings you (mostly) likeable people of Mount&Blade.
We updated our OP with some alterations to our recruitment text and of course the most recent BEAST#3 results.

More importantly
Since we're quickly approaching christmas, we from DR would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a merry christmas, yule, hanukkah or just an enjoyable end time of 2020. To a pleasant end to this, for better or worse, memorable year of 2020.
Stay healthy!

OP updated with BEAST#4 results and a little general overhaul, including team banners.

Furor.png

Furor placed 4th in Division A.
Bilddeutschritter-vorlageneu2-Luxuriasmall.png

Luxuria placed 3rd in Division C.
Superbia.png

Superbia placed 2nd in Division D and claims victory in the play-off match versus Black Team.

An exciting tournament reaches it's end for the three teams of our clan, well played!.
Thank you to our friends and competitors in this tournament for making it an overall fun experience.
Thank you to the administration team for organising this event, especially in times of game-breaking patches that prolong the season by almost a month.

As long as you're able to speak and understand German to some degree, you're free to apply. We don't require native speaker levels or nationalities of any kind. A trial phase is open to pretty much everyone, except for known troublemakers like Mabons of course.
