Just an fyi to the mod team, I had re-downloaded POP3.4 shortly before the link was broken and I too had really poor download times.  However, even more significant, I have consistently had performance issues on my powerful rig that I was not having on my previous versions of 3.4.  No changes on my end except for hot fixes as they were released.

Only Saxondragon has the authority to change/add download locations for the full download of PoP. I'm sure he is investigating the situation and considering all options.

Regarding performance issues: Perhaps you changed WB patch from 1.134 to 1.143? That change would account for performance issues. It has reportedly messed up performance on some systems, and it may also cause your games to crash whenever entering a tavern or castle and such places. There is a workaround for the tavern, etc crashes though:
open module.ini and change

        disable_moveable_flag_optimization = 1

Thanks, Treebeard, but that cannot be it.  My last d/l of warband was 1.43 from gamersgate, just as it was previously, unless my download there was somehow corrupted.  Just seems more likely POP with all the download issues we are having.

Yeah, I don't think your WB 1.143 is corrupt and if your PoP downloaded ok, then that should be fine too. Since you have PoP3.4 you can do the incremental update to see if that works better.

But did you during the time between no issues and start of issues update from 1.134 to 1.143? Because 1.143 in its normal mode (non-corrupted) is often performance decreasing.  If you had 1.134 (with PoP3.4) and did not have issues and then got 1.143 (with PoP3.4 or later), then the switch to 1.143 might be the cause.

Nope, I held off my first downloading till you released 3.40.  However, now that I think of it, my first download was 3.4 and then the incremental patch.  My next download was 3.41 in it's entirety.  Possible connection?

If you like to test that, you can download the incremental update and use its text files over your current PoP3.4 and/or your current 3.41 (or 3.411) install. The resource files are the same between 3.4 and 3.411. Only the text files have changed.

There is nothing in 3.411 that would account for degraded performance relative to PoP3.4 though (- as far as the changes go. Perhaps the continuous kill counter increased lag in battles in PoP3.41 but I reverted that back to how it worked in PoP3.4). What kinds of performance issues do you have when comparing 3.4 and 3.411?

Also, if you play 3.4 currently (if you have it still): is it playing at the same performance now as it used to? If it is not performing as it used to then we can conclude that there is something else causing your computer's degradation in performance.

My performance issue is lag in battles, and I think you are onto something here.  I will try the text copying as you described and see what happens.  Sadly, I only play late at night, so feedback will be in about thirteen hours.  Regardless of the outcome, I really appreciate your time.  Thank you.

Hi again.  Since the Dragon provided a new download link yesterday, I tried that instead.  Problem continued until after I turmed off the kill counter.  Is there any merit to still copying the text files over from the incremental update?

The incremental files and the full download text files are the same so there will be no difference. At least we now know that the kill counter presentation was the cause of the lag on your system and that turning it off resolves the issue. (When you played PoP3.4 perhaps you had it off and that's why you didn't notice the lag before.)

hey i am having a similar problem with the most reccent version with being unable to download it from M&B repository
infact i cant download anything from M&B repository whereas i can dowload things from any other site
