someone with better understanding of these things, please could you explain the purpose of a double sided lance in M&B? I find it no more effective than a standard lance.
i only get to use one side anyway so what's the other pointy end for?

historically a soldier would plant the end side of the lance in the ground so that the impact with an armed horseman would be greater as the lance would not move away. that's the use of a double sided lance, It's too bad this isn't correctly implemented in M&B

On foot, it is much quicker and behaves like a staff (lateral swings, overhead strikes) instead of a lance (looong slow pokes).

And has higher damage than the regular lance.

Ahh, thanks for that guys.

You got in with your post a minute before me Temujin, just as I was typing it. hehe

Well I'm off to go try it out.
