Hello.

So , i made this topic for new people in this game, and people who don't know about this.
I think Cavalary Spearmen (Guy on horse , who is carryng a spear) is best against other cavalary , because you can hit him with high speed , and a spear trought him. It kills them really fast.

NOW TELL , WHAT TROOP IS BEST AGAINST WHO??! ITS YOUR TIME! AND TELL WHY YOU THINK IN THIS WAY!

Any mounted troop is, in general, better than any foot unit. There are exceptions, depending on troop tier and terrain.

Nord Huscarl > Everything Else

With a rabid pack of those guys I basically conquered the whole map with little effort. The only problem was the ranged troops in sieges. Otherwise, everything else (Knights on horses, and regular Infantry) got too close to fight effectively against them.

Guess what... I just tested with the custom battle mod how Nord recruits would do against the Rhodok meelee tree. The recruits beat of course rhodok recruits, then spearmen, and even the trained spearmen! When they faced Rhodok Veteran spearmen, started the trouble. Too many people not actually carrying spears...
But this gives a good picture of how crappy the Rhodok meelee unit tree is (not that we didn't already know it  :D)
Another interesting thing: 40 Vaegir marksmen beat 80-100 Vaegir guards easily. That of course due to the lack of shields.

I have a hard time with that "test". What was the difficulty? How much did the player contribute (I'm guessing none)? Did the troops stay in line, or go out on the offensive? I found my Nords outbeat every other force out there if I had them hold their ground instead of charge.

Not to mention that doesn't apply to sieges and a hard way to gauge a force vs force overall. You need to factor in the sieges too to really get the value.

Nice definition of Cavalry Spearmen.
I think you mean Guy of Gisbourne (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guy_of_Gisbourne) along with the Sherriff of Nottingham ;)
Sorry for off-topic, just could not help myself...

Things aren't that easy.
The troops you need to win the fight depend on who you fight, what terrain, and so on...

The lancers do not work very well against fast horse archers (except the Swadian Knights who do well against anything including Godzilla when in the open flat terrain). Too difficult to catch up.
I do prefer the cavalry tactics myself, however I strongly focus on getting my horsemen out of trouble if they get stuck in an enemy infantry formation. Against infantry I ride a heavy charger and throw the enemies to the ground to make my cavalry units ride and attack with speed. Against Khergits I ride a fast horse (like courser) and it is all about chase, chase, chase... What helps a lot here is that they get stuck on the map boundaries and loose mobility.

Lance / spear is most powerfull against infantry or mounted units when riding (more or less) opposite direction (with couched damage). But it does not work against mounted units if they run away from you (speed bonus most unfavorable).

When in siege, I strongly prefer high tier infantry and archers (when defending a castle it is all about archers, archers, archers...).

For reasons explained I keep two parties:
1. I garrison infantry and archers in my castle until I need them
2. I ride the country with cavalry and some recruits attached for training (I need the get this infantry for the castle somehow)

I usually tend to keep troops of my own faction (just for increased game reality), but I do not deny good units of other factions if I can get them as rescued prisoners.
I do not hire mercenaries or train recruits of other factions.
There is an exception, my own village gives me recruits of an enemy faction, as the castle and the village was taken from that enemy, of course ;)
