I love this feature.  I have my own kingdom and when I report to the Marshall he says I don't have to follow him.  LOVE IT!

"You're a warrior of sound judgement" or something like that, yeah. Get it all the time (in 1.113), even being a mere vassal. Probably hinges on renown.
