If we want to donate more money, even after we've bought M&B, would we send it to the same paypal account?

And would you accept donations? This game is great, and I really want to help out.

Just buy more keys. And do not give them to anyone (it would not be donation if you give them). Introduce your friends to game and convince them to buy their own keys.

Buying them for other people not able to buy it themselves would be the nicest thing to do though.

I was just about to suggest that a "Donate" button be added to the site. Then you come up and say this. I think a donation button would be nice...

Taleworlds is a commercial company and this game is not free. Isn't it strange for a commercial company to accept donations?.

why would it be strange for a commercial company to accept donations, now i understand it may not be done often, but if people want to contribute i'm pretty sure it really doesn't matter if a company is commercial or not

If I were the owner of a company develoing a game, I would feel proud of knowing that people do buy lots of copies of my product. Being donated some money would make me think that people give me money because my game needs immediate improvements!

So I think it is best to buy new licences instead of donating. And as Ilex said, if you don't need extra licence, give it to those that cannot afford.

Dunno about Turkey, but over here as a commercial company they'd still owe tax on the donations. Can be a problem due to irregular amounts and the smaller donations which end up costing more to process than the donation is worth.

Mind, we are one of the most heavily taxed countries in the world. Possibly wouldn't be a problem anywhere else...

I don't know what the laws say but -I believe- there is no company that welcome donations. As far as I am concerned only foundations and civil organizations are authorized to accept donations, and sometimes they are investigated for high amount of donations (especially political parties as is the case for many other countries  ).

On the other hand, I don't think that Armagan's going to accept donations no matter if they have right to do so or not. This is something about, let's say, traditions I think, not laws.

Another good reason to buy keys - whether you give them to someone or not - is that it is a good indicator to potential investors that there is a market for the game. If Armagan can show them how many licenses of the product he has already sold - while the product was still in beta no less...

Just a thought...

If you want to donate thát badly, I wouldn't mind you buying me a cd key.[/sarcasm]

You could do that for me. If they don't accept donations and you are really dead-set on giving. You'd be donating to two things at a time!

I wouldn't mind at all giving armagan some gas money....

For the game as well too...but donations aren't to tell armagan to make changes to the game.. but to express gratitude towards all he has done and to help the game out...
