I tried finding a thread that dealt with this question, but couldn't, so figured I'd post to get the answer. So, as you may know there is a quest that a merchant notable in a Town will give you to escort a caravan of theirs until it reaches a certain number of settlements. I've noticed that the caravan continues on its way after you finish the quest, so I started to wonder: Does that caravan ever despawn, or is it a caravan in excess of the limit of one caravan per merchant notable? If it does remain and is extra (at least until a caravan belonging to that merchant is destroyed in war or by bandits), it would be a great way to help out the Town of your choice (doing the quest would help contribute to the prosperity of that Town through increased caravan activity), so would make that quest more meaningful and impactful.
