it says it only increases hitpoints, but it seems like str should also increase melee damage. does it, or is the only way to do it is put points into power-whatever?
And allows the use of certain weapon types. I'm surprised it doesn't increase damage though, it could be useful earlier on when you can't afford fantastic weapons.
I believe strength does increase damage. I'm certain I read that in one of the official version change lists... I know it says that strength increases damage in the Quick and Dirty Manual.
I did a little digging and found this. So apparently it did increase damage by .5% back before .620, but i didn't see anywhere in the changelog for .630 that he added it back...
someone edited stats to an insanely high level.
he claimed that str increases melee damage and also bow and throwing damage.
he also claimed that agility increases running speed (a bit)

The Q&D also states that the player cannot control where his attack direction comes from, which is old information. Really, it should be unstickied if the person who started it is not willing to update it with accurate information after the version changes.

so strength without proper "focus" (power strike) just means you are generally strong but not able to fully take advantage of it!
thats kind of cool isn't it?
that one of the main martial arts principles (effective strength) are sublimi...
