Does naming crafted weapons not work?

So does naming crafted weapons not work, or am I doing something wrong?

After crafting them I change the name and hit enter even though I don't think you have to. Even before I would hit enter it never worked for me. Just curious if it's a bug or just something I'm missing. I've seen recent YouTube videos and it seems to work for them, so not sure.

Oh yeah, and no mods and verified game files through steam.

Good to hear. I have different crafted weapons for different situations, plus whatever I'm in the mood for, and keeping track of all of them is a pain when they have the same name ?
