Does leveling the skill increase damage / speed?

Hello.
I have a question concerning the skills in Bannerlord. Yes there are perks that give you bonuses, but does leveling the skill itself also give you bonuses?
If so, can anybody tell me what is the proportion of skill per bonus?

Yes it does. By the way if you go to your character screen there is a button you can click on near the top of the page when viewing a skill, that will tell you exactly the stat changes based on each skill. One handed increases speed and damage, steward increases party size, etc etc..

when in the character screen 'c'. Click on the 'i' inside the circle next to it's description. That should show youu benefits

That is not what I was asking. I am aware that there are "Benefits", but you people do not realize that those benefits also include all the bonuses from the perks, and it does not show you the increase per skill level like in warband. My question therefore remains unanswered.

From what I can see that is already the answer to your question. When you have a skill selected you can flick between two description fields. One shows benefits from perks the other shows benefits from just the skill number. Isn't that what you was asking?
