Does half barding horse armor provide 360 degree protection?

I searched, but couldn't find a thread where this was addressed.

Does half barding only provide armor protection for the front of the horse?

On humans, your body is divided into different target zones, and the armor value of that particular zone (leg, arm, etc.) varies depending on what armor you have equipped on that body part.

What about horses? Are horses divided into multiple target zones? If so, does half barding only provide armor protection to the front?

I think horses only take extra damage from the head. I could be wrong but I've never noticed any other difference. WHats more shootin horses in the rump often does less damage because they're running the opposite direction.

Horse armor in vanilla provide same armor on entire body (just like armor in multiplayer), we just fixed (kinda) this issue in RBM few minutes ago.
