There was a time in my life when I was a console owner, before Talos saved me. During those years I owned Bioshock, It was a great game, but not as good as I was told.
There was a time in my life as well, then I finally got rid of the N64 and saw the light that is PC gaming. I played bioshock 2 but never the first one, didn't quite like the game all that much either.
I've played it, but it pales vastly when compared to System Shock 1 and 2. Those were some of the greatest games I've ever played.
I've had so much fun with some mates playing SS2 co-op. Me as the black ops flinging the psionics, the marine blasting away with the assualt rifle, and of course the navy puke who hacked all the turrets for us.
I liked it's atmosphere and environment. Some tonics were nice, weapons were terrible though. I should give Bioshock 2 play through some time, bought it a while back.
That happened me too, happens with most of the games actually, if I don't manage to finish them in few days before my short attention span burns out, I'll drop them to indefinite time.
But I picked it after half of year again and it was easy enough to jump back in and continue it, so it might work like this you too if you still have game or save files somewhere.
Egads, the story in the second one. "We have to have a plot? Well damn, let's just do what they did in the first game and change the word "libertarian" to "communist"! I'm sure no one will notice!"
