Does anybody like current Clan system (Singleplayer)?

Its not really a system though. The Clan is indistinguishable from a single NPC entity (clans own fiefs, clan leaders make all decisions). There is currently no intra-clan mechanics, or arguably any well designed inter-clan mechanics either (like subverting one clan's relation with another).

There is no clan system, its just a bunch of NPCs lumped into 1 NPC entity.
Right now, that is the clan system. A united group of npcs that act as unified force.

Can it even be called a system though? Its a bare-bones nothing way to group NPCs, and doesn't really do anything. It also seems really lazy to me, since each Clan is just a hivemind.

There are things they could do to improve on it, but it's already better than "spam party greetings" by a country mile.

Right now it's very basic but it should and could grow to become a really strong feature.

I'm just happy that I don't have to host dumb ass parties and talk to everyone that shows up.

It's indistinguishable from a single NPC entity though. Its like a Single NPC (the clan leader - who does all the votes and controls all the fiefs) with parties. (Much like the Player's clan, which is more or less a single entity, the player)

You would think so. But haven't really heard anything from TWs on it. You would think there would be features for intra clan and inter clan. But just silence from TW.

You have multiple parties per clan. Most of them at least.

I think people who expect new features or more complex systems are in for a rude awakening. What you see today is what I believe bannerlord will launch with. The only thing that I see being added is more content (quests, armor, etc).

They say smithing is getting an overhaul, but they said the same thing about Skills and Perks and all what we got was a bunch of perks that didn't even work swapped for others. (I do like the new perks a lot more than the old ones though).

From here to release, I expect TW to polish what they have and that's it.

Which honestly, is what I really want at this point. Asking TW to add a ton of new features means we are likely to get a mess of a release with a bunch of broken stuff. I rather they relase what they have in a good state.

Yeah...but arguably its still just a single NPC entity when you get down to it though. I hope they have more development for clans, but i'm not going to hold my breath.

I hear you, but I'd rather they develop a better game, than rush to release such a soulless empty shell of a game with no immersion or complexity.

Am I the only person who thought Bannerlord would be more than just a mediocre medieval combat simulator? If you can even call it that. Its more like a medieval combat observer game, since when playing on realistic, you the player, can get one shot fairly easily and usually just ride around on a horse.

Not a fan. In theory, clans seem interesting, but in practice not so much. I mean clans as they are now don't make the world feel any richer or more interesting. If anything, it feels less interesting than Warband since in WB each kingdom had around 20 lords who each had their own goals and motivations. Now each kingdom has a small handful of clans whose members are pretty much interchangeable except for stats and appearance. There's tons of room for improvement, but just how deep can we reasonably expect TW to make them? I don't really expect anything groundbreaking.

I love how they replaced the old perks that didn't work with new perks that don't work. Progress!

I have made piece with the fact that TW's vision for Bannerlord is not a game for me. So instead of asking them to change, I am banking on the mod tools to help flesh out my vision of the game.

I do have a lot of hope for the level of modding support that TW will give us.

It really rubbed me the wrong way when, in their Steam "press release", they lauded that they had completely overhauled the Skill system when they mostly just shoveled around perk content.

Yeah i'm in the process of making peace with their vision. However to me, their vision for Bannerlord is so much smaller and so underwhelming that its difficult to accept such a missed opportunity.

They are adding unimplemented perks, but typically the added ones are implemented within the next couple patches. We have a couple entire perk trees implemented now in 1.5.1. I think it is progressing much faster in recent weeks than earlier in the E.A. period.

Okay, I guess - according to http://www.bannerlordperks.com/perk only 1 perk is fully implemented. But regardless most of the perks are just really boring and meaningless.

edit: it appears some of this is out of date.

Still, many perks, just meaningless and really dull. We should honestly expect more. The amount of suggested ideas for perks is overwhelming and puts what TW has thought of in the dirt.

Different strokes for different folks. Some like the simplicity of it. Others would like more from TW. I think more might come in the future. Let's see what happens.

My point is not how quickly they are implementing perks. My point was that they called that an overhaul and my meaning of that word is much different from theirs.

I then used that to demonstrate my worry that the smithing "overhaul" will be the same.

You want to wait another year? XD

Honestly, for an Action game, I think Bannerlord has quite a lot of features...

Yea bannerlordperks.com just updated with the 1.5.0 changes, but not 1.5.1 yet. The athletics tree is completed in 1.5.0 and the riding tree in 1.5.1.

I do agree that the perks could be better.
