Does all cavalry behave like 'horse archers'?

I noticed all my cavalry have (horseman) javelins and circle the enemy like 'horse archers', instead of engaging the enemy.
Is there cavalry that actually have spears or similar that will charge the enemy head on?

I know it's not historically accurate, I was just wondering.

Indeed cavalry acts just as Adorno said, but it seems you can "command" them to Hold Fire F3 - F1. That makes them use melee weapons, not circling around.
