Do you "lose your old armor" if you upgrade to a better one if you are still alive at the end of round?

You can't change your armour in the middle of round/life/wathever.
You have to wait for your next respawn.

Well in fact I don't really understand the question, what do you mean by losing armour ?

No, your old armour is fully refunded. E.g, you have an armour costing 1000, you choose one costing 2300 and survive the round only 1300 gold will be subtracted from your inventory.
