My 10 men and I helped a big battle between two kings, didn't do much and I ended up getting wounded. I sent in my party twice without me and my ally won. Then I recieved about 6 prisoners, including the king of Rhodoks  :???:

Do you always get the prisoners, regardless of how much/little you contributed to the battle?

I think it always give the player first pick of the prisoners, and anything they don't take the AI divides up. I could be wrong about that, of course, since I rarely help the other lords in a fight, but that's the way it goes with Manhunters and villagers.

It is convenient but I find it a bit unrealistic that I hardly helped the battle and I get 4000 denars for capturing a king.

If I remember correct you always get all the nobles but only your part (based on troop numbers) of regular prisoners and loot.

True; The player always gets the NPC prisoners. Capture is determined by a % chance(not 100%) and the players prisoner skills. Prisoners are divided among the lords presant. Released prisoners for hire are also divided among the present NPC's.

In M&B Native the chance of a lord to avoid capture is a straight 80% chance modified by nothing.
