Do Troops Retain Health Loss Between Battles

Say I enter a battle, and a few of my troops take some arrow hits. Not enough to wound them, so I still have the same number of fighting troops, just some of them took some damage. If I exit that battle, then re-enter, are the troops that took those hits back to 100 percent health or do they still have the same lowered health level? Does it reset, or no?

Regular troops do not have persistent health between battles. Only named characters do. If it displays a % bar in the list, it's persistent. If not, it isn't.
