Do companions show up at any tavern or just the cities?

im getting a bit tired of checking all the taverns for companions.  do they show up anywhere or are the limited to only certain taverns like major cities?

Ask a Traveler in any town or even fortress. Now you can ask them "Where have my Companions gone?" even BEFORE you recruit any companions. Voila, they will disclose with the information of all companion locations for a small fee of 30 thaler. MAYBE this is a bug, but it shore helped me find the companions I needed to cover the basic party skills for the party.

dammit.............LOL.  ive spent probably a good hour or two between my various games looking for those aholes.  hopefully they dont take out.

Lol glad to help out ... I was frankly surprised that the option even worked ... I was like, hah, Fatima isn't in Reval, it's just an oversight bug and TW is just messing with me lol haha

Heh. They aren't taken out although (I haven't checked myself thisi just based on feelings) I feel as if there appearance is rare or they're less in numbers in With Fire and Sword. Cause I have a few already. The traveller doesn't tell you where the companions are unless they were serving you before though...

I did notice that companions are only in the cities that are NOT also fortresses. If you have to request permission to enter, there will be no companions in that city.
