do cheats work for the demo version?

has anyone with the demo tried to enter the cheats? i have, and they dont work. i did everything i was supposed to, with the .txt file, and changing the sv_cheats = 1 and all that stuff, but it still dosent work. am i doing something wrong, or are my doubts confirmed? (those doubts being that cheats dont work for the demo version)

you cant do the experience cheat or the money cheat. All the others work.

You would reach level six very fast.

The money cheat did work at least in the oldie versions. Don't know nowadays, and unable to try it for obivious reasons.

I used to have a 10 level arena mother****er in the trial times, the bad thing was that after I had quit, loading the savegame only led to the message, as it always loaded into the map screen thsoe days.

Cheats, useful? Nah buddy, I think the only ones who shall use 'em are modders. Reminds me of making Tulga for Project Detail Props with the trial version...
