Seriously. I don't hate my job. My job is actually pretty good, as jobs go. Decent pay (could be better), fairly laid back, manager is decent. But I hate working. I hate having to waste nine hours of every weekday (including lunch break) doing **** I don't want to do. I hate that I need to work to eat. Fuuuuuck. Drives me up the god damn wall.

Cannot wait for automation to make human labor obsolete.

Well, my boss is away from the office all the time so I'm very laid back.  Not too demanding job since all I need to do is deflect her crap when shes around.

Well, I love getting paid to visit taleworlds and other time wasting activities.
So, you basically like your job, because you can avoid working.

I partly like my job as a nurse, but sometimes it's hard when people die - especially if they're young.
My job working with video games is fun, but there are also tedious tasks you just have to get through.

Personally I'm looking forward to being gainfully employed after 3 years of Uni. I spent one year working as a corporate shill in-between second and third year and I relished it. I guess I just see work as a means to enjoying your life as much as possible.

I don't hate working.
I hate not having job security and being fired for ****ty reason.

Since companies can replace low tier employees easily, they can fire you on a whim with a made up reason.

''Go back to school and get a better job'' you say.

I don't care about money, if i get enough to live a humble life then I'm happy.
I DON'T want to be a doctor or one of these trophy/high paying jobs.

I just want the mean to live a comfortable life without getting fired for stupid reason.

Hell, i'd empty septic tank all my life if it included decent job security even if it doesn't pay well.

I once got fired the day a new manager was promoted.

Reason given? the floor wasn't perfect when i cleaned them.
I remember my old boss telling me i was always there on time, i was polite to the customers, made few mistake or faux pas and i get fired because the floor had still a little bit of dirt near the corner.

Yeah right, ***** you fired me because you hated me and wanted to hire your new boyfriend.

I remember also being fired once for being ''wierd'' or ''strange''.

I take a lot of crap because I don't fit in.  Unfortunately I work in too many jobs where everyone else sticks around facebooking into the evening and that makes me look bad when I leave at 6pm sharp.  However during any confronations I'm always agreeing with the management that there is room for improvement.  Then they run out of things to say and I can go back to my 'research'....

And work is fun.  If I'm not reading medieval history or news websites theres always other things to burn time with....

Did you just insinuate that you watch porn at work? Where do you work? Are you 13?

What?  Is that all you think about?  Maybe your definition of 'research' is searching for visuals?

That's the issue with unskilled labour though. It's unskilled, replaceable, irrelevant in the grander scheme of things.
Going back to school and/or learning a trade does not only mean going for that "trophy/high paying job", but usually results in a lot more of that job security you're looking for.
Sorry, those folks are entirely correct when they tell you so.
