Horses can feed off of grass you know, the feed is great and all, but it's not necessary. It's more of an indulgence.

So it is a European setting? I'm in Arizona, and a horse would die here very quickly.
(I understand that this doesn't take place where I live.)
From the first post, all I gather is that there is a canyon, and a tent. No rain, nor forest, nothin'.!
Shut the **** up, and stop posting here, or I'll start reporting you.  If you want to argue with them, go to the other thread.

Kinda like that? And were going for the northen 3?

If we're in visual range...
*Ed slips off his horse, crouching low as he approaches the edge of the hill. He puts on his ring of darkseeing and takes his spyglass from it's case, scanning the area the fires are in, and also the approach the the first hilltop*

Wait. A Dungeons and Dragons game? On a forum?

People still play that? Didn't they invent computers for a reason?

I'm so confused...

"No sense standing around here all day, if we're going to do this, let's just get it done as soon as possible.

I propose we split up into two groups. Edrein, Lans and Loknar are all good at keeping out of sight. You should split off from the rest of us when we approach the camp, and circle around behind them. Kruxi and I will see what we can do to distract the guards and keep them from raising too much of a fuss, while Sene attacks from the front. When we've done what we can from a distance, Kruxi and I will join the battle, providing support where needed.

When the first group sees us attack, they should join in and attack them from behind. Sound good?"

The more north easterly camp is directly north of the one closest to the entrance to the box canyon, and the second in the south is directly south of the other camp.  Other than that, yes.  Your orders are to take out the single goblin encampment on the hill marking the northern wall of the canyon.  Nothing is stated in your orders about more than one goblin camps.

"Copy that, I'm good to go whenever my group is ready."

OOC: I need to be on Autopilot real quick. Excel isn't on this PC and open office won't let me print with formulas.

In the spirit of the game:

"I'd suggest some examination first, if the time frame allows. Any alarms need to be dealt with before we attack, and I have no wish to be surprised by an unseen shaman again. They can be most tricksy if you give them time."

Edit: Zed, elsewhere please.

Also, just to clarify, is that five camps, or 2 camps with multiple fires?

Lans leads his mount east down the hilltop and dismounts before heading back up the hill. "Brilliant, they gave us the harder one. And I'm with Edrein on this, no sense stumbling square into an ambush if we can help it."

To Edrein: "That is you volunteering to go first and check things out then. The rest of us will take the horses and set up a temporary camp a short bit away, to which we'll retreat if things start to look bad. When you come back we'll review the intelligence you've gathered and then make our attack."

Gculk, can I cast some sort of spell to help with sneaking, or something like that? Lessen the sound armour makes, or put some dampening spell on shoes? If so, I cast it on Edrein.

Describe the spell you want, and I'll count it.  Also:  Right now, every magic user must find out their spells for the day.

Cause I think it might have been missed when the page rolled over:

You roll a 13 on your look check and notice that the first hilltop is a small camp of at least 6 humans, with wagons and pack animals.  You deduce that it must be trading caravan moving through the area.  You are too far away to tell any details about any of the other camps.

Your spell is successful.  Edrein's boots grow moss and his stealth and move silently scores go up by 3.  -2 to your spell pool.

After sending Edrein on his way, I charge my staff with a healing spell (2D4) while moving the rest of the group to a location that can serve as a temporary camp, or more of a place to dump our unnecessary gear and bind our horses, except for the paladin who fights mounted.

"Err... Do you think it would be a good idea to have the paladin come along? I mean what with the clanking of the full plate she's wearing and all..."

Breo hits a critical on his roll for the healing spell (1:cool: and his staff is now charged with a 3D4 touch healing spell.

"Lans, we won't be going near the goblin camp, the paladin will only start clanking within hearing distance when she's trampling goblins under her horse. It shouldn't be a problem. If you're still afraid, you're welcome to take the lead and warn us should any goblins stray too close."

I cautiosly move closer, south of the traders camp, checking again to be sure that they're nothing more than what they seem (traders so close to a goblin army? A mite odd thinks I.) til I'm in a position to check the next camp.
