Dismounted units.

I apologize beforehand if this has been answered elsewhere, but I did a search and could not find anything.

One of my knight-type units was dismounted during combat and, after a decent number of days, still appears in battle this way.
I heard putting horses in your inventory can allow them to mount, but a post elsewhere says this is not true.
So, my question, then: is a dismounted unit devoid of horse permanently, or does it simply take a very long time for the horse to heal?

I'm don't know anything about knights' horses not coming back, but I know for a fact that you can't give any non-hero units items.

This happened to me too. Currently all eight of my Vaegir knights are hoofing it on the battlefield. They still seem to do okay in battle, but it's kind of undignified for a member of the gentry to walk around like a common soldier.

Suddenly the meaning of "hoofing it" seems very strange.

I've seen veagir veterens on horses before. It seems like they ride whatever horse you have in hte inventory.

My 12 veagir knights are all on foot too. I'm sure that the enemy knights are on horseback. It's pretty annoying. Maybe it's because I still have some horsemen in the group who ride the horses? I'm hoping that once they are all trained up they'll start riding again. I've tried commanding them to Mount Up when an enemy horse becomes available but that doesnt work either...

Oh! I think that this was a bug in v0.622. Have you guys upgraded to 0.623?

Yup, using version 0.623 right now. I did start my game on 0.622 though, so maybe the save carried the bug along.

it probably is a bug considering you cant give non hero units stuff... unless armagan says otherwise.
