Dislike the New Class System in Bannerlord Multiplayer

My point stands still.
Premade classes enable for viable balancing and prevents meta.
It's easier for newcomers to pick up as well.

I mean in theory sure, but so far we have a system that is 1) harsher on new players (good luck fighting a knight as a noob) 2) has not been balanced at all and 3) has developed a meta of heavy armour with only a couple of viable classes per faction.

Ho boy, we got another metafa here. Didn't even read any of the replies but "my point still stands".

people that dont know how the game actually works are too proud to accept that they were wrong about something.

literally none of this is correct.
Viable balancing would only be possible if each class would be different on each game mode. They don't want to do this so it's not balanceble at all
It also doesn't prevent meta. Most perks are useless so they won't be taken in a competetive environment. If you just play on siege and **** around you can obviously take whatever you want to and make it work. You could do that in Warband too, with more options to choose from.
It's also not easier to pick up for newcomers as nothing is explained. The default perks are stupid too. Every upgraded horse for example has another name. The weapon stats are literally hidden from a new player unlike on warband. I'd say this is more confusing that warbands system.

You can just balance for skirmish. For siege you got other methods to make archers or cav weaker or stronger. Cpt mode can just adjust unit sizes if needed.

Skirmish has the lowest playerbase compared to other gamemodes. Once battle or a modded version of battle comes out it'll be even less.

Its the gamemode with the most issues, so thats only to be expected.

Cpt is by far better than it was in warband. More troop choices, better objectives, better balanced. The combat flaws dont rly are apparent there.

Siege has its ups and downs compared to warband, it still needs some work regarding better siege equipment, maybe more of them etc. It still isnt as stale as it was in warband, because spawns are changing. Heavy units and cav are restricted aswell.

Honestly, every clan is balanced, but some clans could be trash for one person, while it's OP for another.
For example, Khan's Guard is the only Khuzait class with a 2H weapon that can swing, making it hard for a 2H lover like me to get started. I have to loot it first and earn the money to buy Khan's guard, and then I must sustain it. So either get my money from TRYING to hit my arrows before going in Rambo style, or risk starting from scratch.

What I would recommend, and it's just an idea, not fleshed out:
A; 1 customizable class per faction
Have an editor where you can choose whether you want to be infantry, ranged, or cavalry and then pick your weapons.
The game will calculate the value of your class then, which will be the price
This way, every faction will have at least one class that suits you, and maybe a relatively decent cost to sustain.

B; Have preferences
When searching for a game, you can choose which clan(s) you want to be in, or which clan(s) you really want to avoid.
Of course, these preferences could affect how long you must wait for a match, but at least you know you won't enter a game as Khuza--I mean, a clan you despise.

it forces you to change ur playstlye which can be a good thing

I dont know much about this one life gamemode they're trying to make, but maybe fix the issues we're already having before just adding more broken gamemodes. Unless the one life gamemode is duel.
