[DISCUSSION] Thrust attack and Spears

Hi all,

I was wondering if some else is having problems with this 2 things, thrust sword attack, and Spears combat (without mount).

For me sword lash attack is easier cuz can dodge thrust and overhead, rarely strike thrust. And spear attack is way to slow and open vs other weapons.

What you think?

For swords, slashing is definitely better, the trust is still usefull since it has pierce damage, it can do more damage on heavily armored enemies, specially if you hit the head.

As for spears while on foot, they're about 1000 times better than they were in warband that's for sure, just pick one with fast trust speeds, they vary a lot, also make use of the reach, try to keep the enemy at a distance (shield bash is good for this), I prefer to use the overhead strike since it's easier to hit the head with it, plus it feels like it's somewhat faster.

Trusting swords is mostly for multiplayer. For duelling, included in feints to get past the enemies block, or pinpoint accuracy in a teamfight.

Don't even get on that subject, one of the biggest brawl threads hear on the forums, is the one if spears are op or not. Trust me, look it up, get some popcorn and start reading.

OMG thank you! Lol. I was confused in the OP but then people kept using "trust" and eventually I realized it...

Corrected dont go for the branches. I mean should it suffice if they had less attack but better speed?
