Disappointment

I've been waiting 8 years, and after 6 months or so in beta, there are just so many missing things that should have been caught day 1. No accompany option, extremely annoying especially with the addition of quests like following traders. If someone you need to talk to is in a warband? Too bad. Sit around and follow them (without being able to accompany) and wait for the warband to split so you can talk to them. Really basic day 1 QA things just... missing? Not to mention the incredible amount of crashes and broken textures. I mean crashes and stuff I get. Fix one, another happens. But this basic, BASIC QA stuff with mission options just blows me away. 8 years.

Have to say I agree, however I am not dissappointed, just not too happy about those specific things you mentioned

Yeah, I've been playing it for a while today, I woke up at 6am to get it. I understand what you're saying, though I'm not getting all these crashes that everyone is reporting, so I can't speak to that.

What I CAN say is that the game has a ton of emptiness. The NPCS in town feel just like the old ones with better animations, the quests are sparse (some of which you can't even accept without dropping 10 relation points with other random people that instant), and you have to go talk to that person and dig up the conversation.

Moreover, I've been wandering around ACTUALLY TRADING (which I will say has some great improvements) because I can't find anything else to do. All the lords with 130 man armies are so much faster than me that I've only been able to catch 1 to talk to after playing for hours. And guess what? I can't even work for him because my clan isn't high enough. I don't even know how to level my clan because I can't gain renown fast enough.

I'm sure there are ways, which I'm starting to figure out now, but the point is that for 8 years in development this game is not at all ergonomic. Part of me wants to give the company a break for what they attempt to do with each Mount & Blade, another part of me says that all the years I've been supporting them since the first game, they should really be doing better. I know that programming can be hard, I know that setbacks happen in project management, but when we take a product that's been developed for 8 years and we get something that so many people can't even physically play without crashing?

Come on guys.

P.S. I don't like to complain about most things. Especially someone else's hard work. I'm sorry to say it, but I needed to respond to your thread when I saw it. I'm not as mind-blown as I thought I'd be. I'd even consider refunding if it wasn't past the 2 hour Steam limit.

Its almost like you are playing an Early Access game and not a full release

I knew there would be one. There always is. Go ahead and miss the entire point of our posts with your oversimplified and lazy response there guy  . But it's ok, I know you think you're insightful and contributing to society.

Well, this is not really Early Access, the entire single-player has not been QA tested it seems. Maybe barely, and with strict order not to ask for any features. This is alpha at best.
Usually EA means at least a working beta.

What is more worrying, is that many QoL things from previous games and most popular mods are straight-up missing (yes auto-block, I am looking at you right now, again).

So no, this was nowhere near 8 years in production.

Non of this happened in the beta to me, and none had happened now. Maybe your pc is too outdated to play Bannerlord? Buy a better pc

Homie I have literally top of the line ****. None of this is related to PC hardware, it's about missing features of the game. Get with the program.

God, the amount of typos is mindboggling. How has this game been in dev for so long, with so many basic things ruined. They clearly have talented writers, get some of them to play for an hour and find all the basic typos.

Then post the bug in the bug forum instead of writing useless stupid threads like this one and arguing with me then dumbass

I agree. These things are nothing that hard to code into the game, they are not expansive features, they are bare minimums, probably could get half of them done in less than a day of work considering Taleworld's manpower.

I already did, in the tech support forum. This is the "general discussion" forum, where I am generally discussing the game. Weird, right?

8 years.
Early Access does not give immunity to criticism.

Every single time someone brings up "muh EA" as an excuse, you'll get this.
When they say "missing features" how can things this basic not be here? There is no excuse ,no matter how much of a fanboy, how much you do the succ for Taleworlds, you can't find a reasonable excuse. They just... "forgot"

Its early acess, you cant expect a perfect game yet.
The have pointed that out and recommended that its not a finished game yet.
Yet i m more than pleased with the game

General discussion =/= using racist slang, calling other people names cause they said they don't share the same experience as you.

You want to act like a crab in the bucket dragging down other crabs? **** off

Like, I see where you called me dumbass, told me to not make stupid threads, get a better PC, etc, and I can't see anything I said to you that was offensive. Stop projecting and let people discuss the basic missing features that even an early access game should have. I'm not here whining that the campaign isn't finished, or even about bugs/crashes. Just minor things that seemingly should be in by now with how long the beta ran.

The thing that disappoints me is the areas where it actually has less then warband. I expected bugs and crashes, and I expected most of the new features they planned to implement wouldn't be ready... but, I really thought it would at least have all the amenities of warband, as a base. The lack of accompany and the fact that you cant click a location from the quest log and be taken to it on the map is just baffling. And combining all traders into one is super annoying.

Yeah things that seemingly were done to "streamline" end up being really... annoying. I'm with you, I was expecting most if not all the warband features to be here, I don't mind new features etc being unfinished, that's totally cool. But some of the really basic things that just seem so easy are missing. The camp screen, the notes screen to see recent messages, hell even the encyclopedia is bordering on useless. So many features are barely explained if at all.
