Diplomacy - companions

Hi
I've been playing warband for quite a while now, and every time i become suicidal because i get spammed by all my companions about them being angry at each other, in other words, i have too many companions for it to be "stable"...
Is there a way that i can have all the companions i want, without having to take my own life every time i play lol???

cheat to 10 persuasion and use the neutral dialog option with all of them?

or use the editor, and add the option that prevents the companions from leaving.

(neutral option is the "Don't bother me with your......." dialog when one companion complains)
