Diplomacy Broken for Kingdoms?

So I have my own kingdom now, but the diplomacy mod seems to be broken for player truces. I have made peace with various factions, pengwern twice, and it still shows me as at war with them, and they still attack my cities. The situation is untenable, I spend so much time running around taking back and defending my cities I can't do anything else, I'm at war with half the factions in the game. There is no way to get peace!

Also, two lords have defected to my faction but I can't find them anywhere. This may be because I cannot find my court. To move my court I apparently need tools and fine cloth, and I can't find cloth anywhere. WTF GUYS WHATS GOING ON. How can I even tell my court when I find it?

I got my kingdom too now but so far diplomacy worked in that I could sign a non-aggression pact and got continuous no from the faction I rebelled from even though I took 3 castles and a city from them. I suggest you teleport yourself to each city/castle and see if you have your minister in there, my wife is only in 1 place, but Sextus and Marcus are everywhere

Fine cloth is sold in a few places but I got it when I looted a few villages and stashed it in my wagon. I suggest to do the same with other stuff you loot like spices  which apparently are needed for a feast.

I've never needed spices for a feast, I assume you mean the menu option in towns? The minister, chancellor, constable and finance guy appear everywhere, but you still have a court somewhere, which is where I assume these lords have turned up, waiting for me to recruit them.

How do you pursue diplomatic relations with a faction? So far the only way I have found is to approach the leader of a faction and offer to make peace with them. They agree but it seems to have no effect. This may be a bug with the diplomacy mod itself, a leftover from the native relations system. For example it is possible to be at war with other factions, while yourself a vassal, simply by having below zero relations with these factions. This happens regardless of your own faction's standing to that faction. It is possible to reset your personal relation with a faction to zero by approaching the leader of a faction and requesting to make peace. Usually they'll request a fee but that doesn't seem to happen now I am a king.

you talk to your minister (my wife in my case) there is smth about affairs of the state and choose emissary. I think you can only sign non-aggression first and you probably need to be recognized as a king to pursue other things (I am guessing here)

Home is where the wife is.

As if is though that's not the first time I've heard rumors that Diplomacy doesn't mesh perfectly with other facets of the mod (in particular the massive number of factions)

I'm a bachelor king. My RtR is like 96, but I don't know if I've been recognised as king.

When I speak to my minister (Who only appears in one settlement), I only have 4 options:

I wish to replace myself as marshal.

I wish for you to retire as minister.

I want to hire a new staff member.

That is all for now.
I have no option for emissaries or the like.

Well I do, but noone recognized me as a king yet I have RtR of 99.

How about this:

Your court is the one city or castle you own that does not have "move your court here" as an option.

That too. Still haven't found the lords that apparently defected, they might be in some other town or castle, I don't know. Does anyone know where they go? I can't remember their names so I can't exactly ask around for them.

I did manage to officially get a truce with the Brychenoig, but they immediately turned around and raided one of my villages, starting the war again (which is ok, I didn't mean to accept peace, it seems if you select the change your mind option it doesn't work.)

Is it perhaps that my Right to Rule is too low?

You have to appoint a companion as minister for that.

If they are allied with any faction that is still in war with you, they will just declare war again (though it doesn't show up as a message) and proceed to fight you.

Also, two lords have defected to my faction but I can't find them anywhere. This may be because I cannot find my court.
You court is the first city/castle you took and declared yourself a king. Your wife and minister are there, as well as lords that are waiting you to accept them to your faction.

Dispatch an emissary from your minister, the emissary himself should be your companion with highest persuasion skill. First you have to "express your goodwill" until that accept you as a king. After that you will have more options, like offer non-aggression pacts or trade agreements.

Perfectly fine situation. Few major alliances fighting all the rest, with only few factions that are in war with less then other 2. And then there you are, a self-proclaimed king with no traditional relations and real right to be amongst kings.
Beginning may be tough, but later this diplomacy system will work out fine. I already had myself accepted as a rightful King by the major factions, my kingdom is almost all britton lands with 6 lords under my command, and I'm in alliance with Mierce (Which is probably the strongest kingdom of all now), Hwicce (the only britton faction that didn't declare war on me after I took Brychenoig and declared myself a king) and Mummain (which is basically Kingdom of Ireland by now, only Ui Neil is still holding). Now whoever declares war on us gets what they deserve.

How do you make peace with an alliance? If afterall, you make peace with one member, and it immediately goes to war with you because the other member is still at war with you, you have no chance to make peace with the other member(s)!
